April Employee

City of Prescott – Employee Recognized for the month of April

As we roll into April, we take a moment to reflect on how far we have come as a community—and where we are headed together.

The City of Prescott is proud to recognize Bruce, our April Employee of the Month. With more than 13 years of dedicated service, Bruce continues to give his all each and every day. As the City’s Business Manager, he plays a vital role behind the scenes, always working diligently and often on the go to keep operations running smoothly.

Bruce is an exceptional example of commitment, professionalism, and hard work. His positive attitude and strong work ethic make a lasting impact on both his coworkers and the community he serves. His favorite saying, “This is how we roll,” reflects his mindset—step in, work hard, and get the job done right.

What Bruce values most about his role is the opportunity to work with and for people. He considers it a humbling experience and takes pride in being someone others can rely on. A true people person, Bruce brings heart into everything he does.

When asked what advice he would share, Bruce pointed to Matthew 22:37–39:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.”
He believes that if more people lived by these words, the world would be a better place.

Bruce also shared a line that has always stayed with him from the movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989):
“Be excellent to each other.”

Thank you, Bruce, for your years of service, your dedication, and the example you set every day. You are truly appreciated.
